Hi there,
Basically, as long as the column lock is what has failed, then, they replace the lock actuator itself.
There have been other issues to address this failure, as I have seen pinched wires, BCM issues, as well as feedback signal misreadings.
There are alot of things that customers cannot see when having a failure.
Besttoall, and usually, the lock is the same, as it has been revised several times over the years of production.
