My driver side A-piller pad is squeaking either against the a-piller itself or where the pad comes in contact with the windshield or dash (lower portion of the pad). I've removed the pad and the squeaking stops. I tried to insert the foam padding between the pad and the a-piller and that didn't help. I also installed some tape to cushion the 3 retaining clips, but that did not work either. I think its squeaking near the lower part of the pad near the windshield or where it meets the dash.

Before I start spraying silicon (between pad and dash/winshield) and making a mess, has anyone else fixed this problem?

thanks in advance.
