When I was installing my hurst I was using a 3/8 drive allen wrench. The sucker fell and guess where it went :( Of course, it fell in the trans tunnel :( I tried to find it with a magnetic extension but I guess it rolled too far away. Does anyone have any suggestions :-? By the way the hurst shifter is great !

A flexible magnet with a long handle is the only way I can think of.
I'd also try a small inspection mirror and bright light.

Another thing that might be worth a try is to get the car rolling at about 15 mph and lock up the brekes. This will be helpful if it rolled towards the back. It might roll forward where you can reach it.

I also thought about jacking the rear up as high as I can !
? does the trans come out the bottom ? I noticed screws coming up from the btm. side to the inside :)

I just had a thought ! The tunnel should be open in the rear by the trans ! I think ! because it covers the driveline !

Has anyone checked this out :-?
