It's a lot lighter than I expected. That spy photo from a month ago wasn't even close!

I think I want Yellow instead...

I haven't seen the new pic yet, but I started to get scared when I saw the pic of the two blues, one behind the other. They seemed a little lighter than what I was expecting. When a MY became available, I went for it.

Of course, my opinion is biased because I have an EB on order and the order was allocated to my dealership earlier this week - no TPW yet..

The "spy photo" on another thread was validated by Hib Halverson, which is a pretty good reference. Also, others here (Zippy) I think - have seen samples of the EB and say it is close to the old Admiral Blue - but with less purple in it. EB is also supposed to be a cross between Nassau and Navy.

I thought about MY before I knew about EB. One thing (besides extra cost) that I did not like about MY, is the attention it draws on the street, including attention from police. Since I like to drive in a "spirited manner" when traffic conditions (very low density, good weather conditions permit) I would rather not draw excessive scrutiny. Blues, silver, black, white etc draw less scrutiny then reds, bright yellow, IMO.

Besides, blue is my favorite color! Whatever you choose, it will be right because it will reside on a real kick-ass car!

I am getting E Blue and I only keep my cars for 2 years so the color does not mean that much to me, it will be my 8th Vette so we are trying to cover all the colors. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif I like the E blue in the pixs.

I like what I see of the e-blue. I also think that the new logo is very tastefully done. The proclaimation of 405 HP ,incorporated into the Z06 logo, tells everyone that looks at this car exactly what they need to know /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif I think those that change their orders, based on these press release photos, will be dissapointed when they see the color in person for the first time. Just saw a post on the Z06 portion of the Corvette Forum by Maxievette. It is a picture of an EB at Bowling Green taken by the Maxie Price truck driver - looks like an overcast day.

Damn, that car looks great to me! Glad I ordered one!

It looks great. Its the same color my '98 Cobra was, or at least it appears to be. I was always getting compliments on my color and often people would ask me if I had a custom paint job.
I'm glad GM didn't change much visually though. I don't have 10 grand or more to throw away on a trade right now. But I would sure be happy if I was one of the ones who had it on order. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I just wish they'd leak a picture of blue on a sunny day. While these pictures are gorgeous, the lighting at dusk is a little misleading. Oh well ... I've got an MY coming anyway, so this is all academic for me, unless someone wants to donate a blue to keep my MY company when it arrives. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I sure hope your right!!! I am sitting on pin and needles reading about everybody getting their e-blue orders in and my dealer is still trying. The good news is that he assures me I will get the FIRST E-Blue from his dealership!

I'm not at all worried about the shade of the EB. When I was at the plant for the CI, I saw an EB rear bumper up close. It appeared to me to be several shades darker than the pics I didn't see[LOL]. Frankly I am little disappointed regarding the new badging. Like Carl [hcvone] and others, I've had just about every color vette including Millenium Yellow and change every 1 or 2 years so I'm not going to get crazy about color. For some reason I'm not as as excited about '02 as I was about my '01 Z. I just love my Speedway White/Mod Red Z. This may be the reason why I may cancel my '02 EB order # DKMKC7/TPW 7/23 once it arrives the 1st week in August, but doubt it. FUBU69/LES BTW ALL VETTE COLORS ARE BEAUTIFULL!!!!!!!

AGENTZ06 Perhaps the 405hp could have been highligted a bit better, maybe with a little color. Not a big deal.I know some of you guys are going to think this is a bit much but if I decide not to do a custom mod blue interior, I'm going to really pimp up the inside with a torch red partition to match the ordered mod torch red interior! I already spoke to Nate about it 10 days ago, and he is checking on it. Speaking of Nate I have been trying to reach him on another matter. I hope everything is ok,he is 1 nice guy. FUBU69/LES
