I am missing this option in my car and was just wondering. Can either driver side or inside rear view mirrors be purchased over the counter for a reasonable cost. And can non-electrochromatic mirrors be replaced with those that are, by simply bolting them in place or are there compatibility issues with connector harnesses, etc?

I have this option, but I would NOT get it on my next car. It works OK (not great) at night. However it doesn't work at all in the daytime. With so many people running their headlights in the daytime, and the Vette being low, they shine full force in your eyes. The solution to get away from the offending car, or move your mirror so it is non functional.

Remember with this feature you are not in control.

I installed an EC rearview mirror with a built-in compass into my '00 Coupe and I love the compass feature. The map lights are also much brighter than the factory mirror's.

They are in my Store if anyone is interested, just click the "www.c5store.com" banner ad at the bottom of this page.
