You need to remove the rear sway bar and unbolt the pipes at the flange. With a little wiggling /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif they should come right out. Very simple to remove.
There is also a muffler hanger bracket that needs loosening before removing the rear pipe and muffler assembly. The bracket is at the very rear, just behind the rear fascia. Once you crawl under the car you will see it. One more tip: It is very difficult and dangerous to remove the stock exhaust pipes and muffler by jacking the car up. DO NOT DO IT THIS WAY! The easiest and safest way is to have your car raised on a lift by a competent mechanic that knows how to raise a C5!
I forgot about the hanger, thanks Zippy!!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
Take Zippy's advice, he's right on the money!!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
