About the only not so good looking part of a z06 is the dark exhaust tips, I believe the 04 have polished tips so I wanted to polish my tips, But How would I do about removing them from the car? I look and played with them for a while but they seem to be welded on, Is that the issue? Do I have to remove the catback to polish the tips? Thanx for the help :coo:

Yes, the entire cat back would have to be removed. You need to have the car off the ground apprx 3 feet to accomplish this. Probably best to try to polish them while on the car.

All the tips on the Z06's are the same 2001 thru 2004. They are made of Titanium. They will polish up using any kind of chrome type polish etc. They are welded onto the muffler and can be easily polished on the car using a little elbow grease. :z:

Thanx guys, any sanding or just plain clean and polish?

Im sanding my alternator as we speak :D
No sandpaper on the tips!

There was a guy who polished the inside of the tip sas well as the outside. He used a mild rubbing compound and a buffing wheel. They looked good but a lot of work!
