Was wondering what gear feels "just right". I know, depends on the driving conditions but in my case 4th is very sweet both in sound and flexibility.

Other opinions welcome.

If I have to choose just one, it's gotta be 2nd gear. Puts a grin on my face every time I hit 2nd from an easy roll and just hit it hard. Slams me into the seat. Yea, 2nd gear. :D
definatly 3rd for me. its the most usable gear for romps in the twisties. i love how it just pulls and pulls till 100mph... :yeadog:
I voted for 2nd, especially after putting a Hurst in. Cruising along in 2nd and jumping on it and then a flick to 3rd.

Jack
2nd gear, 3500 rpm. Foot goes to the deck. ;)
who voted for 6th gear??????? :mah:
Hey! How come I can't vote for reverse???

2nd, I'd say. Overlaps most of the normal non-highway speeds. Easy enough to shift into, unlike 1st sometimes.

Just wish it had a little more pull up here at 6000 ft.
3rd gear for me. 0-100 without shifting, gotta love that. :thumb:
3rd gear and the LS6 was a marriage made in Heaven :z:
.
My favorite is 3rd gear, especially since I installed the H/C
package. The car pulls like a freight train from 3k to redline, and sounds very "angry". :yeadog:
Fun to cruise in 2nd, then slam it in 3rd with the Hurst! :yeadog:

Torque is just out-of-site! :D
3rd gear here
3rd & 4th. Fourth(the best), I can easily drive from 35 mph-145 mph. Must be the big cube motor. :zboobie: I can finally go WOT after 4,000 in third. First and second, really have to concentrate on not getting loose.

And I like sixth, 30+ mpg at 80 mph. is very nice.

Definitely 3rd. Perfect for many stretches of Colorado twisties for speeds from 45 to 95. And, just that much better now that I've got extra pull thanks the H/C package. :thumb:
3rd here. Nice combo of grunt out of fast corners & top speed. :D
I went with third. I love dropping down to third at about 60 mph and breaking the rears loose. Puts a smile on my face every time.
