John,

As you know, and most others know by my CF post, we cannot order the bottle of latex sealant alone. Instead, we currently have to order the entire $300+ inflator kit in order to get a bottle of latex sealant.
This sealant has a 2 year shelf life.

I received a call from GM Executive Offices concerning this matter. I mistakenly thought that the person on the other end of the phone was an Engineer. I stand corrected. He is the Executive Assistant to the president and CEO of General Motors.

I've received no fewer than a half dozen phone calls from him and e-mail updates. Appearantly it was an oversight by GM and someone forgot to set up a part # so that it can be orderd seperately.

The latest update, as per a phone call from this person today, was GM is now very aware of the problem and the solution is in the works.

I will keep everyone updated soon as I hear more. I am very pleased that GM has gone to these lengths to satisfy their Corvette owners. I'm confident that this will be resolved soon.

Thank You GM!!!
