UPS just delivered my new partition from Nate at Xtreme. The quality and craftsmanship appear excellent. I plan on installing this piece over the weekend and report back on the install. Now if I can only find my switch blade and jack-hammer! FUBU69/LES

I just installed mine and I used the phrase mother f$$$er about 500 times. I can't blame it all on the unit, maybe none of it, but it is difficult for a guy my size to get in the trunk (5'11 240). First my cordless drill was about dead, then my wife brings my 3/4 drill which wouldn't fit in the trunk (what was she thinking). OK so I got a drill that worked, then the bit was pretty dull. 7/64" is a little too small, so you have to ream the hole a bit. Finally they went in and it worked OK.

Thanks Tansec.....if it's that easy to take in and out then it sounds like I'll have to get that installed on mine. I know it would make it alot easier to hold things in the back knowing they wont be sliding all over the place as I'm racing from light to light /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

It is a tight squeeze when you go to drill the 2 holes. But after that it's a piece of cake. Put the drill bit all the way into the chuck and try drilling at a slight angle so that you can get 1 hand under the drill. Then you can pull up like youe flexing your muskiles! The partition works and looks great.

I got mine on Thursday. I installed it that evening. I am not a big guy, but it was still a pain in the Butt!

Andy - great craftmanship and it looks really nice! Cuts down on noise a lot more than I thought it would. Wish it was a little easier to install though /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

It wasn't my butt that suffered the pain, it was my back. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I have had it for a few weeks and I really, really like it. I know it is pricey, but so is the car. I would really hate to not have it now that I am used to it.

I got mine yesterday. The quality and craftsmanship are excellent (better than GM)
I still haven't had the pleasure of installing it,(I've heard the horror stories)
Then again, I haven't even picked up the car yet! What is it with these Vettes? They have me spending money before I even have the car.
* Maybe today is the day to order the Cargo Mat/Trunk Lid Cover/Airbrushed Hood Liner & Cargo Area Lids. (I'm sure the KIDS can figure out a way to pay for College)

IMA Z06, the install is easy. It is just hard to work in a limited space and get good positioning with the drill. The partition is a top 5 mod IMHO. Get it, you won't regret it! FUBU69/LES

It really cut down on the tire drumming sound. I'm glad I have it. I just wish mine was carpeted on both sides.

Vince
I was thinking the same exact thing. IMO, it would look better and match the interior better if it was carpeted on both sides. Plus, it would actually cut down some more noise that way.

How about it Nate -- maybe a Gen II partition?? :D :D
