I was poking around my engine bay today and took off my fuel rail covers and realized..... The engine looks SO MUCH BETTER with them off! I think I may leave them off and hang the red covers on the wall in my garage. I kind of really dig being able to actually see the engine. Anyone else not running the covers?

I assume that they are for decoration purposes only.. right?

I don't have the covers on my engine...they don't fit anymore with the fast intake. Yes...they are just for looks. :guiness:

And to trap excess heat in the engine bay. They serve a much better role hanging on the wall than on the motor...

Just like case2307 said, they trap heat between runs...

Mine are gone.

My are off. With them off, there is apt to be much less heat soak after engine shutdown and there are a look of electrical Ignition and EFI wiring and coils subject to all that heat. I'm more interested in long term engine/accessory durability than good looks UNDER the hood. :D
