Mike Norris ([email protected]) - http://www.geocities.com/norrismotorsports/ - is running a group purchase on the 3.73 gears from Getrag. Price will be $1650 if he can get a few more folks signed up. Considering that you can get ~$500 for a set of 3.42 takeoffs, this nets to ~$1150. I donÕt think that we will see this price again, so please sign up if you are interested via an e-mail to Mike (so there will be enough people to make it 12 for the group purchase and I can get mine!!!).

No warranty at that price, but I'm not much worried by that. This gear set was made for racing and is considerably stronger than stock. With proper breakin, there should be no problems. If I get snakebit, I will have the 3.42 takeoffs to put back in rather than selling them, but that is extremely unlikely. I have never seen a post on any forum reporting problems with these gears.

In other words George, on a Z06, you just have to change out the assembly and you are good to go? No other changes are needed? Forgive all the questions but my Z is my everyday driver and I don't want to do anything that will make it less so.

That's right. No computer programming at all is required for the M6, which obviously includes all Z06's. You might want to talk to Mike Norris about these gears, as he is very knowledgable and now has the group purchase in place.
