BTW, I heard that the EB's will be significantly slower than the yellows, because of the extra weight of the metallic paint job.

I know a permanent grin will be pasted on my face when I get my TPW! My dealer called me today and said they had an unspoken for MY Z06 on order with a TP of 8/7 - just like mine except it had BSMs... Damn, I am tempted to take it, but I really don't like the look of the BSMs.

No way...the BSM looks really good on it. BSM means body side moulding right? /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif :::hits head:::: I have a choice of 4 red ones on the lot and I want one with the BSM's and now that I've read about the orange peel people have been finding, I'm gonna be looking a little closer this time. I didn't even notice if any of them had orange peel.

Do they really come off that easy? Has anyone actually pulled off the BSMs?

I figure the adhesive must be pretty damn sticky to keep them on at 170+ MPH. I picture myself trying to pull them off and then pulling off the paint under the tape, or being left with a nasty layer of adhesive on the paint.

I took mine off. they are on pretty solid, but they come off with some effort.

If I did not love the Z06 so much, my next choice would have been another convertible in '02....In that case, I definitely would have ordered an electron blue, white soft top, and possibly the torch red interior!

I have a new order number as of today (7-23-01).

My salesman checked my original order number of DNFM0R and due to a communication mix-up between sales people at my dealership my actual order number is DNFM66, and the TPW is August 13th. Unfortunately, they informed me it is too late to delete the body side molding option, but they can remove them at the dealership and not charge me for them. I'm not too happy with that, because my window sticker and other paper work will not match up with the car! Salesman said he was sorry and it was his mistake because he did not write down my option request! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_mad.gif

Doggone Zippy!! That is scary!! My order# with Les Stanford called for Black Interior and I specifically told Kevin Will I wanted Mod Red...Emailed him,but as of today,no response....Hoping that after this year long wait,I have no problem like you just endured with them!!

But it shant be long Zippo!!!!
