Thank ya! Thank ya!

But what about the sequence # difference? Is it possible they have the wrong VIN # for us?

I imagine the S in teh 8th position is for LS-6 right?

ROTFLMAO I did a vin search at this site and look what it turned up!! SWL Type in your VIN and see what you got!!! LMAO

Dave, the difference in VIN and SEQUENCE #'s is because GM produces some cars that are not for the public, i.e. crash vehicles, test vehicles etc.

Frank is correct, the numbers are usually off from between 9 to 30 numbers

The first 2001 C5 built for sale on June 23 2000 vin# ends 100045, that makes 44 cars built for other uses.

We are wanting to know if there is a way to decode the vin#? Is there a site for this?

It is
1G1YY12S215123392

Also, I thought you all said to add a certain # to your sequence # and that was the ending of your vin...I thought it was like 40 or 44 or somethin. but ours is 35#'s diff from our vin. Whats up with that?
Sequence # was 023357
