Had the occasion to speak with Rick Daniel recently.

As you might be aware, he is a regular contributing member and a vendor as well.

Nice fellow, very straightforward. My kind of car person. My kind of person.

Every once in a while you get the chance to realtime speak with someone you have only read. Most times it very positive. Speaking with Rick is one of the positive experiences.

Were I shopping for a car I'd give him a shot at my business.

I'm sure all the vendors here are folks I'd like, but I haven't had the opportunity as of yet.

Thanks for being a part of this place Mr. Daniel. I'm pleased we had a chance to speak.

Hope to get to meet more forum folks in the future.

Hey, I count as a vendor and you met me a couple times :)

Redshift you are absolutely correct. I forgot you were a vendor here, which I apologize for. Two self inflicted smacks to the forehead for me.

You are good folks, for sure. You would be one of the only people here that can say they have seen me performing what could be called "usefull work":D

Hope you and your nice wife are doing well. Maybe we'll see you @ the birthday bash or another event should our schedules allow.

That yeller car of yours still a rocket?

Yessir, thanks in part to your efforts, it is. Still having some clutch issues but am getting those taken care of shortly. Putting in some long tube headers soon also, and going to track days a lot. This car is incredible on the track - it has a lot more ability than I do

Have a nice weekend, Paul. :)

Once in a while I do something right:D

Stay out of the Armco:lol:

Glad it's making you as happy as when you decided to buy it! That's the whole idea.

Make sure everything is balanced and torqued to spec with a clutch. Any air introduced into the system will be a pain to deal with. If there's an imbalance or mistorque, air will probably get into the system, hide in the master or slave cylinder, then you're scratching your head.

Rick sold me mine and I will return to him for my next one!

Great Guy!

Fantastic!

Jonesboro is a pretty neat place to visit if you are in to history... which I am.

I have a bunch of Georiga roots... even have an ancestor that was a senator from Georgia... that and fifty cents gets me a ride on a bus of my choice:cool:

This is my first "job" as a moderator, but I have extensive experience with other forums and other venues. The thing that continues to amaze me, and really make me happy, is the quality of the good folks out here on this forum. 1fastdog has, personally, taken time to come out and support the FRC Thursday night chats, and has been more than willing to give of his time. Rick Daniels, sometimes, feels like the "not as good looking" younger brother that I wish I had.

Simply put, everyone that I have met on this forum, either through posting, or face to face, has been really great. I think that is what makes this such a cool place to be. Makes me feel really great to be here and be a part of it all.

Thanks to one and all...

Take care,

Dan Farmer

Yeah - it is sticking on me now - especially coming off a straight at the track: having to threshold brake while downshifting, heel-and-toeing, and unsticking the clutch with your left foot is NOT fun on a hairpin

The guy doing the work is pretty good (c4c5specialist) so I think I got everything covered. He's top notch
