Junk,,, as in the bilstein sports or stock shocks would be better,,, or as in Penske's are way better? I like the idea of being able to adjust the shocks,,, even though you have to do compression and rebound at the same time
It is a simple dashpot that is not sensitive to different velocities like a real shock should be. Most real shocks have different valve settings that can "blowoff" at high speeds for potholes and react differently to control body roll etc. I'd say either go with '04 ZO6 shocks for the low $$$ solution or double Penskes if you have some money.

The HAL's arent any good for track events, look at Callaway coilovers they have everything from SA to QA speak with Mike Vendetto or Pat they will get you the right thing. Callaway coilovers are built around JRZ dampers which are used in Porsches and Vipers and so on.
