Running yesterday to go to my son's birthday party, I decided to take it up a knotch.

My 2002 was in virgin stock condition. Went through third all the way to redline, and power-shifted into fourth.

THE TRACTION CONTROL HIT LIKE A HAMMER! At 110 MPH!

What the ????

I had this happen on the 2001 Z06s from 2nd to 3rd, but 3rd to 4th?

Tried it again, same thing.

Nice clutch!

Jim, sounds like your clutch won't last long, but it will provide you with lots of smiles while it lasts. :D You must mean you shifted at 100 or so mph because that's all she'll do in 3rd. My rev limiter pops loud at 6600 rpms at just under 100.

Jim, I've done the same thing with my '01. It quit doing it for awhile, but since I've been blending race gas, its come back.

Hell, the other day I was cruising next to a friends mustang, and just HAD to drop to 2nd and stand on it. What I didn't expect was that the car spun the tires AFTER the shift. I can understand spinning when I made the shift with too high an engine rpm, but the damn thing spun after the shift.

Man, that freaked me out.

Speed

I was estimating the speed at 6700 rpm, which is the rev limit of the 2002.

Traffic was coming at us pretty fast, so time did not permit looking at the speedo.
