I saw a yellow C5 yesterday. I heard his engine doing some kind of loud ticking sound so I asked the driver if he had done some modification. He said he did a head & cam mod.

Is there a h&c package that will not change the engine sound?

I dont race and I am not a gearhead/mechanically inclined, is this mod maintenance-free?

As soon as you change the cam or the heads your car will sound different, generally louder and "harsher". Its the nature of the beast.

Done right, it should be a pretty maintenance free mod, but if you are not going to track the car (drag or road race), then I am not sure I would do it, but thats just me.
