The SCCA has reported that some helmets have recently appeared on the market that are either stamped or labeled
"SNELL Approved" without the Official Snell Sticker.

These helmets are NOT legal and should NOT be used.

IMHO, NO helmet should be used unless it has a SNELL 2000 or newer sticker on it.

Thanks, DJ ...
And for those who may have missed related thread(s)
This is paraphrased, but I think my recollection is correct:
When Snell 2005 comes out, Snell 2000 is the oldest you can use.
There are Snell M (Motorcycle) and Snell SA (Special Application).
Get the SA ... tho some groups let you run with an "M" helmet.
HTH ...

Low lifes

We should find them and beat them with their helmets to see if the test results come up to par.

Thanks for the warning DJ. As I buy my helmets direct from Simpson, I'm guessing counterfeiting is something I don't have to worry about, which is good as I have enough other things to worry about.
