They partially repaved the only street leading to my work place, and my fenders, doors and quarter panels are covered with large spots of road tar. How do I safely remove them without damaging paint?

Unfortunately this will be an ongoing problem for a week or so. Thanks for your help.

If your a Zaino user then use WD40 on the tar and then wash with water, if not go to a Pep Boys or Auto Zone and get some tar remover.

Thanks ZEEE, WD40 worked like a charm. What else can I clean with that stuff? And like a fool all these years I've been using WD40 for lubrication and water displacement.
