I know my '01 has 385 HP and the 8/2000 C&D road test says the car goes 0-60 in 4.3 seconds. What are these specs for the '02 to 04 models? I know the HP went up but I thought I read somewere the 0-60 actually got slower.

Magazines I think...motor trend had the 2002 Z06 running 3.9 seconds to 60mph , 9.9 to 100mph...

Usually its a magazine test track differential or driver that dictates acceleration times...

I'd say the 2002 LS6 Z06 with 405 hp compared to the 385 LS6 Z06 should be??? 2 tenths of a second faster in the quarter mile....2 mph...(20 hp differential worth about 2 tenths in acceleration)

Take for what its worth...

Just a guess

The 02-04 models are normally rated at 3.9 to 60. I know the 01' does 4.3 because I pulled a 4.35 out of mine, measured by my Beltronics Vector. Like I've said time and time again, you won't notice the difference. If anything my 02' actually feels slower than my 01' did.

I modded my 01 to 396 rwhp 380 lb/ft of torque and the best times I can get on street tires to 60mph is 4 flat.

I'm just not skilled enough to get it down any lower!

O to 60mph is really about the launch and driver skill. Thats why it varies from magazine to magazine.

The 0 to 60mph run is indicative of a cars acceleration capabilities but its not an end all. More of a meathod to compare cars if the driver is constant..

HTH...
