I have only owned FRCs so for me it was a no brainer.
How many of you would have let the Hardtop sit if you could have gotten the LS6 & M12 in the Coupes & Convertibles.

I LOVE the look of the hardtop and have bad exp. with verts.

If I could have gotten a removable top on a hardtop, it would be no question.

JC
Like you, I had an FRC before the Z06 so you know I already loved the hardtop body style. I bought the Z06 because it is the best all around Corvette that has ever been produced. As it says in the brochure, this Vette will be significant in Corvette history. It is the stuff that legends are made of.

Oh yeah, I bought it because it is just bad ass!!!!!!!!!

Hatchback glass is for Pintos and Vegas and I never met a male that looked right sitting in a roadster.
FRC is, as you said, a no brainer. Actually, hp and handling were of equal importance to me and I love the FRC body style. Heard John Cafaro say it is how the C5 was intended to look.

Tom,

As we discussed last night, after driving Coupes for 23 years, and everyone of them leaking water, the FRC was a no brainer!! I went out and traded my wifes beautiful Black Rose '93 and my Admiral Blue '95 off on 2 '99 Hardtops as soon as they were introduced.

As far as the HP...
I really love my Z's. My Quicksilver Z is the first Vette I ever considered as a keeper. Sure they will make better ones, but I've waited 25 years for this car.

I like my coupe, but, don't use the top off feature hardly at all. I'd like a Hardtop next time. Don't like the wind, I guess.

Long trips in the Coupe make it easy to store clothes and a big cooler!!

Has always wanted a Corvette. When I first saw the Z06 in MY I knew this was to one.

I like all styles of vette's. Have always leaned to the FRC for some reason.

I had a 97 coupe with auto. I feel in love with the FRC as soon as I saw it, but wanted more options before committing. When they did it, bought my loaded 00 HARDTop. I just love the name of it and it is the best looking Vette out, bad to da bone looking. I drive one of them everyday!

HP was a factor but by itself that wouldn't have been enough. The whole package sold me - the handling was a big selling point.

I bought it for HP. I may the Lone Dissenter

I'm with Jerry...the whole package got my attention. I had been looking at the C5 since it was announced to replace the C4. The C5 was as you all know a major change for the Corvette and it certainly got my attention. I wanted to wait a few years to make sure all the bugs had been eliminated before purchasing. Well 2001 was the year to buy, and then the ZO6 was announced! Well another decision...yep that's the kind of vette I want!

I finally get mine this week! after a 5 month wait. Whoopee!!!
