For those of you that are planning on dropping the car down a few inches, what is the norm and what potential problems might I encounter when I do this?

Lastly, where would you have something like this done? Chevy? I have no idea how to do it myself

I might put on some Borla exhaust prodcucts as well.

Thanks in advance.

I decided to not lower my car as on the stock height I already bottomed out on the sill panels (under the doors) on my dad's new front end rack which is basically a drive on lift. I have to use long 2X10's now to help get on the rack, but it is still close.

David Hill, chief engineer for Corvette, said not to lower it at all, as this will upset the handling balance of the car. If you don't care about handling, and only care about looking 'slammed', he said lower it no more more than 1/4 to 1/2 an inch.

Agreed, but they also shouldn't have designed the fenders so it looks like it's ready for offroading
There's a big difference between lowering a car a little bit and the car being slammed.
