how many of you bought your Z06 sight unseen?

I bought mine sight unseen. There was no place in Maine that had a Z06 but I liked my coupe and I've always felt the more performance the better. I wasn't disappointed.

I also bought mine sight unseen. Only because Landmark Chevrolet was hiding it until they could fix the damage it sustained when removing it from the truck. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_mad.gif

yep...I'm ordering from an out-of-state dealer, so I won't see the car until the deliver it to the museum.

I think I've only been in a C5 once, at the NYC auto show a few years back.

a friend called and told he got his 01 and is the strongest bone stock car he ever owned and liked it so much he ordered a 02. he was so exiceted about the car got me thinking he gave me the dealers name,Glueck Chev. i called got a good price and lots of info. Mailed a deposit Torch Red w/ mod. red interior.March delivery.Just have to drive my 30th aniv Trans/am till then. Never seen or driven one.cant wait

Bought mine sight unseen, however, I previously had a '98 coupe. The Z has worked out just fine.

I probably am the extreme here.. My Torch Z06 build date is 5/7 (yeaaaa-haw!)..

Not only have I never driven (or seen in person) a Z06.. Nor sat in one.. I've also never sat in ANY vette - driver OR passenger. ANY year!

I bought mine from Kerbeck Corvettes. They are in NJ and I am in Minnesota. I had never seen one before putting down my deposit. I saw it for the first time at the Museum. I had only driven a 97 for about 30 minutes and owned a 94 coupe for about 9 months then got the Z06.

I ordered both of mine on May 9th of last year. That was the first allocation to order Z06's. Noone had seen one and nobody knew any information because pictures weren't released until June 1st, 2000. It was kind of scarey because nobody even knew what the price was going to be. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_confused.gif

I've only sat in Vettes including a Z06 but never driven or ridden in one. I'm ordering my 2002 Z06 from an out-of-state dealer too and I haven't decided if I'm gonna have it shipped or rent a car and drive there to pick it up. Some members were speculating $65k+++!!!

WOW......I don't feel so funny now...I have never driven nor sat in a Z..and I have only sat in a C5 1 time for only about 30 seconds.. I guess its a pretty common thing!! I'll be damned if I would have brought it up though!!

Me too, didn't even know what it would look like, options, had no details on anything. In fact, the dealer said it was a rumor until GM confirmed it....

And bought it over the internet....

--Told in April of last year it was going to happen--dealer called the morning of the offical release and confirmed it wa mine--have had 3 other C5's so knew what to expect.

Not only did I buy the car sight unseen (I live in Atlanta and the dealer was in Mobile) but I didn't pick it up for 2 weeks as I was gone on vacation! They kept it on in the showroom until I picked it up.

And to think, I ordered the third Z that Franks dealer was allocated because Frank recommended them...advice from someone I had never met about buying a car I had never seen and didnt know how much it would cost /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
