Folks:

I have an annoying little squeak on the left side of my instrument cluster very near the HUD controls. It sounds a lot like the squeak you get when plastic rubs against plastic and I figure it's where the surround panel is rubbing the clear instrument bezel.

There are a couple of Torx screws at about 11 and 1 right under the dash lip (looking at the steering wheel) that hold the plastic surround, but I can't find any more fasteners.

Has anyone had this part out that can give me some guidance? I figure it's clipped in several places, but I would like to know before I break something. I think a little felt here and there will kill my noise if I can get the dang thing apart.

Thanks!

Hi there,
Well, usually, I remove the upper dash pad. The bezel is attached to the instrument cluster. Not to the upper instrument panel.
I usually remove the lower knee bolster, the center console, radio trim panel, and then all screws retaining the upper IP, to access the IPC.
I dont like to try the squeeze, because things get scratched.
