After what seemed like forever, I picked up my Speedway White Z06 from Karl "the man" Johanson in Memphis on Friday afternoon. Made the 500 mile drive back to Dallas and got her all broke in! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I haven't written b/c I have been drving around every chance I get. I love this car!

Pics will be coming soon! Thanks to everyone who helped with answering all of my questions.

Congrats!! You made it home and have it broke in! You may have just purchased the most rare combo, 01 and white!

I'll have about a 350 mile drive after I pick up my Z, and have been a little concerned about how to break it in on this ride. I know about varying engine speed, and doing some acceleration/deceleration pulls, but what about the heat/cool cycles that some folks recommend? How did you handle your trip?

Thanks all! This is my very first Vette and certainly will not be my last! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Jerry - I just did what it stated in the owners manuel. Keep it under 3,000 rpm and vary your speed/RPMS. I tried very hard to take my time - it was a very difficult task. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif I was also worried, but just take your time and do the best you can do with it! My advice (take it for what it is worth) don't worry about it, just enjoy the ride! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif
