Hi Guys, hey I know that this was already addressed, but I can't find the post /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif . Will someone give me the 1,2,3 process for changing my shift knob, Thanks /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

1. Remove the shift pattern insert by prying it out with a small screwdriver.

2. Remove the pin that holds the stock knob securely in place. Be careful as the pin will break. I've had the best luck by prying under a side edge with a screwdriver while pulling the top with vice grips. This works best if 2 people do it.

3. Unscrew the knob and take it off.

1. (What SS said. Takes very little effort to get this out.)
2. I found that I wasn't getting anywhere with the screwdriver-under-the-corners method... But what DID work was locking vice-grips on the pin (get a GOOD HOLD on it, and lock it in tightly), and then using a long (sturdy) screwdriver to pry up on the vice-grips themselves. You get great leverage on the pin this way.

Just be careful that you don't whack youself in the face with the vice grips when the pin lets go!
