I posted a thread a few days ago that i got 3.90 gears, and the GM mechanic (whoo is very talented) found out what many of you said that is very complicated and time consuming, also that the dealer doesnt want my car in there for that period of time, even though it's a GM vehicle!! :mah: How much detail is actually involed if I can find someone and can I reuse some the componets that are in the rear end or do i completly need a install kit?? Kinda worried about this whole situation. Any advice from someone who has done it would be great!!

If you are talking about just replacing the rear end gears then yes it's time consuming and complicated. It's easier to replace the whole rear end and usually costs about the same with exchange.
