Hey all,

Just dreaming about how cool the yellow lettered Goodyear Eagle (or whatever) tires, like on the C5-R, would look on my MY Z06. Now, granted, I'm not even in the market for new tires -- rather, I'm just kind of "wondering" if there's something out there (a Goodyear, I presume) that is a street tire that has yellow lettering on 'em...

Ford made a "NASCAR-edition" F-150 that had yellow lettered Goodyears on it -- but I think they said "NASCAR" on them, too, which would be pretty silly on a non-NASCAR kind of car. Is there something out there like them or the C5-R ones, though?

Thanks!

Why stop at the letters? I was in the auto parts store this weekend (Surprise!!), and in the section with the tire dressing stuff, they had this tire stuff you put on to make it shine -- YELLOW. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif They also had one with a green tint. No torch red, tho. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif hhahaha

There is a contest here in Ontario, I forget who is the actual sponsor, but the grand prize is a 2001 Monte Carlo SS in black with yellow highlights. The Goodyear tires are in yellow. Supposed to be some deal with Nascar and Jeff Gordon. If Goodyear made the tires available for this car, they might do them for your car. Can't hurt to ask.

A lot of people that own motorcyles like to highlight the letters of the specific brand of tire that they use. I never liked this and I never did this to my bike nor would I do it on my car, but a company by the name of Lockart Phillips sells the pens for about $5.00 each.
The website is : www.lockhartphillipsusa.com
Good Luck.

Two words.

Tire marker!

Find a yellow tire marker and color your tires in. I use to do that to my Sprint Car tires for show. It only lasted for packing the track and hot laps but it was cool looking when we unloaded the car.

i wonder how weird a red ZO6 with red tires would look. i dont mean just the letters but like the entire tire compound would be red like on those stripes on the bf goodrich t/a tires. i would just like to see what that would like even if it did look bad.

They had them on display @ Super Chevy @ Maple Grove and also they had them with red and I think blue. About 1/3 of the tread surface was the same color as the raised letter. I'm just curious as to what I will see them on first. Honda, Supra, or Mitsi! Hey Carl how about a set for your M5!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Gadrix -- I didn't dream up yellow lettering on tires on a yellow Vette myself.. Haven't you seen the C5-R cars? It looks pretty sweet, n'est pas?

Sorry, I haven't seen them. I just think raised letters on ANY street car look goofy.
To each his/her own though. Just trying to be funny, not rude. Its great to live in a country with so many freedoms and choices.

I am temporarily living in Memphis, Tennessee and have seen some f#$ked up vehicles around here. I ponder, with the poster above, what I will see the colored tires on 1st. I am thinking a Navigator or an Escalade, but not until they make 20's or 22's.
