What is the difference between 01' and 02' shocks? I didn't know there even was a difference.
A bit better 'intermediate' valving. That will help with most likely corner exit.
$100.00 ain't bad... I love my Penske's! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Here is a shot of the car, at last weekends Wendover Pro Solo....

I'm sticking w/ the factory shock, even though I run in a prepared class w/ the car...
BTW Dave, how'd you do???
I won! Thanks! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif It was some great competition with Ames, Strelnieks, and Molleker there!

The Car is working great! I couldn't be happier with the Penske's! And the overall car!

Keep us posted on those 02 shocks, ie: how you like, install, ride and so on........
Actually, you mean GTB/ZR1... I don't have the '02's... I have Penske's.

But I agree... keep us posted with what you think about the changes! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

hcvone... you are going to LOVE THEM!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

They are an amazing addition to the car! If you need help setting them up, just let me know...

Who did you get them through? I am sure it is to late, but I would highly recommend Guy Ankeny (Ankeny Racing) He is a Penske Genious!

Enjoy!

Dave, I got them through Mallett, I bought a "few" items from them and got a good deal. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Are you still running the Kumho/Hoosier setup or have larger Kumho's come in.
Gordy, I am still running the good ole 'KUSIER' setup! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Actually the 18" Kumho's were sent to me to test, however the size unfortunately just isn't big enough.

They were designed for the Porsche, and the LS-1 Corvette. They will work fine in either of those applications... but the tires being a 285/30/18 are just too small! Mounted, they actually have a lower overall diameter, than the fronts! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

The new Kumho is an excellent tire (extremely light! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif ) However... for us Z-06 guys... not enough rear tire! Although... if you wanted to run a 17X12...they do also now have a 335/30/17!

Peace,
