Just wanted to let everyone know that we are here and to let you know that we have an exclusive product that NO OTHER Corvette VENDOR HAS!!!

Our lighting specialist retrofits these kits to fit the C5 and Z06. Generic Philips HID kits will not fit unless retrofitted to fit factory sockets and fixtures.

As most of you know, the Z06's lighting is very poor and we are offering this kit to upgrade your Z06 to BMW type lighting. We have this kit installed on our C5 along with the PIAA 1100X fog lamps and they are absolutley awesome!!

We have installed these kits on a few Z06 Vettes so far and the results are great!!

If you want your Z06 to light up the night, read on:

PHILIPS HID (High Intensity Discharge) Lighting System for C5

Real HID Lighting System by Philips

High Intensity Discharge's light output is over 3 to 4 times greater than a halogen bulb, with less heat and power consumption. HID requires an electronic control gear and starter to momentarily apply high voltage to a capsule of inert and gases (including xenon) creating an intense arc of white light. HID emits brilliant white light. A 35W HID produces to natural sunlight compared to a 55w halogen. This translates into seeing farther, as well as better side illumination. HID provides better visibility and safety - especially in bad weather. The distinctive blue-white light of HID lamps stimulates the reflective paints in road markers, signs, and improves driver concentration. The distinctive look also makes your vehicle unique by standing out from the sea of other lights.

*Features

High performance driving beam pattern enhances factory head beam by increasing the distance of road illumination.

HID is more efficient at converting energy into light resulting in less drain on the alternator, and lower wattage. Same light level regardless of battery voltage(9-16 volts for 12 volt system). Longer bulb life, often outlasting the life of vehicle. Extremely durable and vibration resistant/ no filament to break. Runs much cooler than halogen.

Philips HID Retrofit kit includes:

* One pair of D2S or D2R Xenon bulbs

* One pair of Ballasts adapters to retro-fit your headlight housing, instructions, and wiring. (Ballasts and bulbs were manufactured in Germany and complete system kits are assembled in USA)

Back up by 5 years Limited Warranty

5 years limited warranty applied on ballasts and bulbs. Failure due to manufacturer's defect. (warranty would be excluded if kit had been improperly installed or visually physical damages is shown.)

These kits are priced at: xxxx, but are selling for up to: xxxx without the retrofit being done to them.

Let us know if you would like to upgrade to this great new kit!!

JC,

You got it! I apologize for that.

Zippy,

This Philips HID kit is a plug and play and can be taken out within 10-15 minutes.

It is a must install unit if you want all the light output possible from your Z06.

Hope this info helps.

Shawn

Do you have any pics of the installed HID lights? Is it easy to re-install the stock lights when you're ready to sell your car?
Thanks!

You can get either low beam H.I.D. or high beam H.I.D., however you do have to purchase two kits in order to do this.

It is recommended to simply convert the low beam to H.I.D. and leave the high beam to the conventional halogen.

Hope this helped.

Thank you!

How stable are these retro fit kits? Will the bulbs, the light pattern shake or move if I go over bumbs or on road surfaces that are rough?

I am very interested. Is the install difficult? Most importantly do you plan to post an install with step by step pictures so that even a dummy (like me) can do it? I am thinking about such how to guides like the ripper install. Without such a guide I doubt I would do it (so please say yes).
thanks

MiZ06,

The H.I.D. kits that we have made for the C5 and Z06 are retrofitted so that they simply slide into the stock or Export T-84 headlamps fixtures.

If you install the H.I.D. kit with the stock plastic fixtures, you won't get any shaking at all since the factory setup doesn't shake.

If you install the H.I.D. kit with GM's Export T-84 glass fixtures, you will get a little shaking, but not much that is really noticeable.

You will have so much light on the road and you probably won't care that you will have a little bit of a shake with the Export T-84 glass fixtures. Again, with the stock plastic fixtures, you will have no shaking problems.

Jurow,

The installation takes no more than 30 minutes as this is a plug and play kit. It is like replacing your stock headlamp bulbs. No wiring or modifications is needed to install this kit. All you have to do is place your stock 9006 factory socket into the Philips ballast and place the Xenon lamp into the stock plastic fixture. You are done!!

All kits come with instructions and are one of the easiest installations you can do with such high results. The only task will be where to mount the Philips ballasts although they come with tough Velcro strips.

We also offer installation of the Philips H.I.D. by a certified GM electrical technician here in Los Angeles. Please contact us if you would like to schedule an appointment to have your C5 converted over to BMW type lighting.

Hope this helps.

hcvone,

The reason why BMW and other high end luxury vehicle do not have high beam in HID is because HID systems take about 20 seconds before they come up to full projection power. High beams are mainly needed right away in dark areas or in emergency situations. This is what the low beams are only meant to be powered by HID.

I would recommend only going with low beam and then installing PIAA 1100X if you don't have it in already. This will give you more light than you can handle!!

Hope this helps.

Hey Shawn...

One of my lights, well, basically melted, for lack of a better term.

In taking the ballast and bulb out, it appears as though, the little nipples that are designed to hold the ballast connector to the light had all snapped off.

Can I get the bulbs (almost) anywhere, or is this something that I need to order from you?

I hated having to take the lights out, but, with one giving me a nice strobe affect, and the other trying to set my car on fire, I had to remove em for now /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Thanks,
Christopher

You can get the bulbs from any Philip dealer or from us, but make sure you get the same type, 9006 or H4 depending on your set-up. The bulbs offered by us come with built in glare protection.

Please be extra careful when installing them.

Thanks!

Shawn
