Hi all, I`ve heard it mentioned a few times on the forum that the pcm gets lazy if you don`t get on the throttle hard for awhile. & it wakes up after a few spirited trips through the gears, Any truth to this?? Thanks.

I'm not sure, but better safe than sorry. You had better get on the throttle hard at least once a day. ;) :D

The PCM doesn"t get lazy but every 10 minutes the STFT updates the long term trims. If you are on the highway with the cruise set at 80 in 6th gear, you will find the car gradually gets better fuel milage. The longer the cruise at constant speed the leaner the PCM runs the engine management system. Solution, skip the MPG and dowshift to third and redline it evey 10 minutes.

At least with our car he will go into wimp mode.. It seems I'm always breaking something in lately... I have to hit the go peddle hard a couple of times to wake him up :D
