Took the Z to Reeder Chevrolet (knoxvilleTn) Corvette show last weekend. 75 miles eachway. Parked the Z. Next day I see oil leak on floor coming from Drivers side of rearend. Did a search and come to find out about the overfill vs actual seal failure. Has there been any new updates? I plan to put it up on the rack and look myself before it goes the dealer

Thanks for any input/info

there is a TSB to fix the seal on the rear end.
just ask the dealer.. it won't cost you a dime..
the fix does work..
they have to drop half of the exhaust in the rear .. remove the half shaft and replace seal..
works fine..
they will keep it overnight .. the sealant must dry.. "so they told me"
but all is dry now.

The fix will work for a while but, mine just started to leak again...had it fixed under warranty about a year and a half ago. Now it's on my dime so...I'm doing a hardened output shaft while it's apart.

If it started leaking again...they didn't use the proper sealer.
