My buddy has replaced the motor, computer and they can't fix the cause of oil cosumption 1 qt. 1000 mi.

The reason I ask is GM is willing to give him cash instead of having to take the car back under CA. lemon law

Sounded like you friend need to log on to this site more often to learn about the oil consumption problem causes by the ring. The new ring is not available to everyone just yet. I bet that's why they couldn't fix that problem.
We need people like your friend to get on here and keep us updated with his problem. Maybe someone at this site can shed some lights.

I have heard of a few people wih problems, but many more with no problems. Mine has been trouble free other than being a magnet for collisions. I took it in today for a $200 scrape repair - thank you wifey.
