hahaha i dont even have a license but i saw this car in car and driver and it was so sweet and it is naturally aspirated. it also had 530 ft lbs of torque. it gets rid of that turbo lag. it did 0-60 in 3.4 sec and the 1/4 mile in 11.7 sec. pretty sweet. i would guess it does just under 200MPH at about 197 or so.
Hennessy is doing a similar job but, it will have 600 HP.

Check with No Mercy!,
He has one on order and I believe he has shipped it alraedy.

Anyways, I think it cost about $24K.

Not bad, i my opinion. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Funny story. I was at the C5 Registry Birthday Bash in Bowling Green in April and ended up lining up against John Lingenfelter himself, in the flesh, driving one of his own customer's 427 powered LS1s. I beat him off the line, and someone said I must have scared him into missing a shift because I ended up taking him by 0.01 seconds at the finish. I know he must had trouble, but a WIN is a WIN in my book.

That is probably my coolest drag racing story ever.

yep they have the Z500 package for 500HP and 470 ft lbs of torque for $12,500 and the Z600 package with 600HP and 550 ft lbs of torque for $24,000. what scary is in the Z600 package he never mentions turbos or superchargers so is this naturally aspirated? if so hang on. www.hennesseymotorsports.com
does anybody like those caravaggio body kits?

Redshift...what have you done to your car to get it to a 12.6 quarter? Have you added stuff since I saw you?

Nope - just a great day and perfect weather for racing. She was really strong that day. My average trap speed that day was above 113 MPH.
Naturally aspirated 600 hp. It is all good!

Mine is being built for a 150 shot of NOS as well. I am glad that Hennessey and his team will be testing the car with a good driver. I will never be able to get the car "maxed out".

Mine will be the first Z600. There is talk of a forum write up about the conversion. John Hennessey will have my car for a couple of months. I plan to add bigger brakes, coil overs, the Specter Werkes group 5 body kit and some Caravaggio interior upgrades.

All the data will be available soon. The car should be there today and Hennessey and I will be having a detailed conversation this weekend.

I will keep all of you informed. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Is it just me... or does it appear that No Mercy! doesn't seem to care the '02 Zs have a 5% increase in HP over his "lowly" '01??

I Called Hennessey a couple of weeks ago and asked if the 600hp was crank or rear wheel. As I thought, it's rear wheel. That's 510rw figuring 15% drive train loss. Lingenfelter's 427 Z06 is rated 500bhp at the wheels. Lingenfelter uses the C5R block. Hennessey's uses a 415 cid block.
Re The Katec C5R engine. Zeeeo6 is correct. Guldstrand in Glendale, Ca has just completed a Katec C5R engine program for a ZO6 customer. I rode in it last friday. AAAAAAAAsome!!! Now I must decide who will do it for me. Guldstrand or Lingenfelter? Nice problem to have huh.
I raced one and that sucka flew.
hennessey Z600 and lingenfelter 427. ahhh my feet are tingling and my hands are shaky. if i had the money and a liscense i sell the house and live in a cardboard box for either of them and i aint jokin. i would give up everything. first thing i have to do is get away from the family to save some money. greedy women. hehe now a job? i really need to find one. hey no mercy make sure you get some pics and get some videos if you can. the Z600 is sweet!
The Henessey Z600 is listed asa 415cid. 600/550 crank, not rear wheel. Still awesome numbers. The LPE 427 was also listed a crank power. LPE typically uses milder cams, etc. for improved drivability.

I just purchased the C5R block last week for MMS to put in a 427 in my 2001 Z06. I will post results when they are available.
