This spreadsheet show that you can tune out knock due to lean and low engine timing conditions.
This perfect tuning even included using injectors that were 25% larger then the stock ones.
See how clean the knock count is and at the same time got the timing up during WOT ( TPS >99.5)
Notice how the long term fuel trim is just about perfect when other then WOT.

This showed that it was not false knock or due to too much carbon within engine.
Ohh, in this run it was shown that setting the IAT to a constant of 75 degrees was best, not 59 degrees, so tuing IAT is just as important as tuning fuel trims.
