I had the PVC valve replaced on my 01 Z06 but now the lifters are extremely noisy. I can't see what could have channged, does anyone else have loud lifters?

What's the definition of loud? Are you sure it's the lifters? The injectors also make a ticking noise, pretty common.

Welcome to the Forum!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif I believe the noises you are hearing are normal. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif The LS6 is a pretty noisey engine. Slap on a set of aftermarket exhaust and the problem will go away!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I have a 'ticking', very distinct. At 2500 RPM, in fourth gear, about 55 mph, I can hear a loud ticking or tapping. I'm thinking, it's a Chevy, it's supposed to tap. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif But not in a new Vette. I don't remember my '99 Hardtop being this loud. Are you guys saying I should just go faster, or turn up the stereo? Yes, the oil level is fine and, no it's not a big oil consumer (2200 miles).
