Anyone have problems after lowering their Z06, such as too much scraping on the bottom of the vehicle or loss of control. Interested in lowering but heard lots of bad things.

I've lowered 3 of my C5's. The coupe was tooo low and scraped on everything. The Z06 is fine though. It won't go as low as the coupe without cutting bushings or longer bolts.

I just lowered my Z and it doesnt really look all that much lower, maybe half an inch. I am definately bottoming out on some spots I didnt before. I also believe that the front has dropped more than the rear, just by looks. This was done only a week ago, so maybe the car will settle some more. Any thoughts on how long it should take the suspension to settle once the car is lowered ??

Dave,

Mine is a daily driver, but I only have around 7,800 miles on it after a year, so I don't drive a whole lot and I live VERY close to work. It seems like it took about a month before my Z really settle down. Total drop was 3/4".

Frank,

Thanks. I will be patient and wait alittle longer for it to settle before I "panic". I only have maybe 100 miles on it since I finished lowering it. It does seem a tiny bit lower each time I drive it(which isnt too often lately)...Plus, I really dont wont it too low anyway. I dont want to get into cutting the bushings and all that, so I guess the most I could ask for is 3/4th to 1/2 inches...
