Hey guys,
Been lurking for quite some time here.. finally joined up!

Anyways.. Have an 04 C5. The MAF is descreened which in the end I found was a BAD thing to do.... So I need to go back... any advantages to going to an LS6 MAF or not...
I currently don't have LS1edit or HPTuner.. Will in a few months though..
Is there a difference between the two?
Will I see any gains over either?
Is the GMS MAF worth anything?

Current mods to intake and exhaust are only. B&B bullet cat back and a Halltech Stinger here soon...
Plan on LT header soon.

Thanks guys...
You will see more of me.
I'm pretty creative.

LS1 MAF = 75mm ID
LS6 MAF = 80mm ID

Some have had problems with descreened MAF's if that's all that was done.

However, if you port and polish the TB, polish the MAF, use a better high flow air filter and optional intake system, descreening the MAF helps.

If you add a twin flow intake there can be problems with laminar flow in a descreened MAF.

If I get an LS6 MAF will it work on my c5 with a stock computer for now or is it only going to work w/a remap.
I plan on a remap.. but not for a couple months

Does the VCM have data that works only for the appropriate MAF.

Thanks for your help!!!
