2085 Views 20 Replies 16 Participants Last post by  Z06Y Lady
Hello,

Just spoke with Rick Daniel at maxie Price seems very helpful with the order process. I'm in calif and thinking of doing a courtsey delivery. He said he gets 12 Z06'S a month. Has anybody bought from this dealership and what was your experiences. Thanks, Greg. PS. anybody done a courtsey delivery any risks? He said the $2000 deposit is non-refundable.

$2000.00 Down!!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Non-Refundable?? /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Are you crazy! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif I have never put down more than $500.00 on ANY car... and it is ALWAYS refundable!

This isn't saying anything about Maxie, and what they may be able to offer,... but I think you should really try to better define those buying terms!

Peace,

I bought my Z from Maxie price. They tried alot to rip me off on price and were not honest with me about many things
Ok that says alot about maxi price does anybody know where i can get a car from that is fair? and has a large alocation.?
Torched,

You have mail.
I live in Atlanta and did not buy from MP. I heard both good and bad stories about MP, but the number of bad stories relative to good ones was alarming to me. I ended up buying my Z from Tom Jumper Chevy in Atlanta.

You guys will flip when you hear this. I put $5000 down, nonrefundable for my Z at Kerbeck Corvettes. I just assumed since it was the newest and hottest on the market, that this was normal procedure. I thought that I may not be able to get one because they would be sold out. I now know that is not the truth. It really wasn't a problem because I knew I wasnt't going to cancel the order and they just applied it to my deposit.

I assure you we are much more honest than the dealer that told you MSRP was $5000.00 to high.

ELCO Chevrolet. Balwin, MO. 636-227-5333.

Ask for Mark Gereke. MSRP and will courtesy deliver anywhere.
What exactly is a "courtesy deliver"??

Thanks,
JT-KGY,

Welcome to the Forum!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif

Courtesy delivery...You can order a new Vette from any dealer across the country, and when the Vette is shipped from Bowling Green, they will ship it to a dealer of your choice. It doesn't have to go to the dealer you purchased it from.

I heard a nonrefundable deposit is against federal law.
fcalmes and Zippy,

Thanks for the welcome and info!!
Started to look at more about vette
about a month ago. Very interested in
the Z06 especially the upcoming 405hp
version. Was looking at S2000 but
found that Z06 could be had for 4-6k off
MSRP which made it much much better bang
for the buck (it already is at MSRP).
The only concern I have is the reliability
of the car... But seems like there's
not many problems (dont see those
post alot)...

Anyways, hope I can afford one by sometime
next year and discover what does it feel
like to drive a 4-second car.

My friendly local Chevy Dealer wanted $500.00 to accept a courtesy delivery. What a guy!?!?

When the car comes off the truck at the dealer, it is dirty as sin. Plastic bits and pieces and tags and labels are all over parts of the car and the special anti-scratch covers are on the trunk and the doors. The dealer has to remove all this stuff, wash the car, do a predelivery inspection and test drive and in some states do a predelivery safety inspection, smog test and registration.

$500 seems like a bargain from a dealer who has no other profit in the transaction.

As Judge Hatchett says "just a reality check"
