I have heard - and read - the new Michelin PS 2 tires are superior to the original Pilot Sport tires. The former have two different types of rubber to maximize wet/dry performance. I am currently running the original PS tires and considering going to 18 fron and rear with the Ps 2 tires. The PS 2 tread pattern does not look all that aggressive to me and so I would prefer something a bit more aggressive such as either the Pilot Sport Cups or the BFGoodrich CompTA kd series. Also, the 220 treadwear sounds a bit high for a tire that should stick to the track like epoxy. The Toyo Proxies have a treadwear of 160-180 which is much stickier. Anyone running on the PS2s? Any comments? The folks at Tire Rack say the PS2s have proven substantially better in their tests but then their job is to sell whatever tires you call and inquire about...

I am not concerned about wet weather performance since I try never to drive my Vette in the rain...

Thanks!
