Seems about once every two weeks, my car has been tripping the Check Engine light. Pull the codes, and the only one I get is P0200H. Clear the code, and the CE lamp goes out.

Question is: what is P0200??? I have a printout from somewhere on the web that I *thought* listed all the DTC's, but 200 isn't listed. What is it? Any idea what could be causing it? The car drives/runs fine...

I know the "H" is for "history"... but even if I pull over and check the code within 15-20 seconds from lighting the lamp, it still shows up as H?

Hi there,
Carl is right on the money here, as a scan tool and a number of tools will be needed to diagnose an injector control circuit failure.
Because it does not immediately present itself, it could be loose terminal, or a bad quaddriver in the PCM.
I am sorry, however, its time for the dealer on this one.

Hmmm... well thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

After my last dealer experience, I'm pretty soured on the whole "take it to the dealer" idea (even tho I AM aware that there are good dealers out there... I just haven't heard any stellar reviews about any local dealers here...)

I noticed some stumbling/misfiring tonight when I was driving home from dinner (AAARGH!!) Was hoping that it was just due to my intake+pulled MAF screen and unusually cold air outside tonight (low 60s, and haven't some ppl mentioned problems with this parts combo?) But, if I'm tripping an injector code, then they're probably related.

I'll poke around tomorrow to see if I can find anything obvious (loose wire or connector) before I decide what I'm gonna do (either take it to the dealer, or let my roommate look at it - he's starting an LS1 performance shop, but I don't know if I wanna waste a favor on this...)

Thanks again guys!

Jim

Ah crud... I just remembered, I can't take it in yet anyways.... my roommate blew up the rearend on his WS6 T/A, and is using my Jetta for the next few weeks until his 12-bolt arrives. If I take the Z06 in, I'm hoofin' it... not cool.

Well... I *would*, and believe me I'd LOVE to, but it's kinda hard to ride when it's raining, and I have to take a laptop and misc other stuff back and forth to work every day.... (doh!!!)

Riding the bike to work every now and then is ok... but I can't depend on the weather cooperating for however long it will take for my car to be fixed....
