Having Hennessey build up your Vet engine emphasizes my philosophy:

"If some is good, and more is better, then, too much is right!

Why John Hennessey and not John Lingenfelter?

Just asking, though?

I was thinking of the Lingenfelter Stage 2 for at least 650 HP and 600 FT/LBS of tourque. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

That would be after the Z loses its umph to the C6, which I'll get when the Z06 C6 comes out. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

The Z600 produces 600hp and 550 trq. It is a 415cid stroker and costs around 24k. Lingenfelters TT is closer to 50k and produces around 650hp.

Not pinching pennies here but for the 50 fewer ponies I think it is a pretty good deal.

Ironically I did not go with Lingenfelter in the beginning because they would not allow the install to be done in any place other than their shop and I did not want to ship the car.

I initially decided on Hennessey after Darth Vetters awsome runs and decided on the Z500 head and cam (500hp). One thing led to another and I changed to the "full Monty" and went for the stroker instead.

To ensure a proper install and proper testing, (this will be the first Z600), John Hennessey and I decided it would be better to let him do the install at his shop. Hennessey will be paying for the shipping and the job will be done right.

John Hennessey also told me that he will be taking the car up to Michigan for an article in Car and Driver.

We are also building this baby to handle a 150 shot of nitrous!! /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif:D:D:D

I will be without my car for a few months but I will also get a first rate install, professional performance testing and a 2 year warranty to boot!

The car will make a brief stop at Caravaggio for some new seats, steering wheel, shift knob and boot, parking brake handle and boot and padded center console. Maybe even an exterior change ... still debating that one.

I am trying to hook John Hennessey and Fcalmes up so there can be real write up on this baby (step by step) so you guys can get the full scoop.

Either way I will keep the info flowing.

Sounds awesome. Like ViperKiller, I'm going to wait a year or so and then go for the 550hp TT from Lingenfelter. My thinking is the TT setup will be less noticeable in "normal" everyday driving. Anyway, keep the posts up Bill, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I think I'm going with Hennesey.
24K for 600hp, naturually asprirated with no turbos or superchargers, I'm sold.

I'll be keeping an eye out for that article in Car and Driver. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Good luck and have fun.
