I have had to reset the following codes several times over the New Years weekend.

The codes were B2587 H
B2588 H

I thought this problem was fixed, secondly I thought that this problem generally happened in the warmer months of summer.

Should I get a bypass and forget it? I have no faith in my dealer--I don't even trust them with my car unsupervised.

HI there,
These codes are internal BCM, and should have a diagnostic circuit check performed.
As for the reasons, they are many, so I would not chance doing a bypass, until you know what has happened.
As from what you are seeing here, I am suspect of other issues.
Do you hear the lock move in and out??

I haven't heard anything but I will pay close attention now.

Is the dealer the only person that can perform this check? Can my high-performance mechanic do it?

My local dealer has a bad reputation around this area & I don't want to take a chance.

Hithere,
If he has a Tech 2, then he can perform any checks needed.
