Hey,

I just had a question...I know that you are supposed to break in your car for the first 500 miles by varying the rpms and not staying at a constant rpm for too long. Well, If you get the NCM Delivery and have to drive it home...your going to need to get on the highway. How do you vary your rpms on the highway?? Keep shifting even though there is no need...5th to 6th...back to 5th...than 4th, etc.....

I was just wondering how/what you do in this situation.

Thanks

Wheres,

First off, don't use the cruise control. I was able to vary my speed all the way home. I took exit ramps to make sure I'd go through the gears. I actually encouraged my wife to find places to stop and shop. Walking the various outlet malls gave the car several hours to slightly cool down, etc.

Changing gears to vary engine rpm's does NOT vary the speed the rear diff is turning. The diff is based entirely on road speed.
