Hi All,

I have new Kuhmo front tires and am planning on putting new Continental tires on the rear. Both sets of tires are ZR rated. Will mixing tire brands cause any handling problems or wear problems? Thanks,

John

IMHO ...
Different brands are not a big factor, but tire construction and size differences can be ... you can expect handling differences if ...
Sizes and profiles F/R are a different ratio than tires you took off, e.g., fronts are OEM size and rears are 20mm over ...
Thread design and tread rating (UTGQ ... or "softness" ) are significantly different, e.g., fronts are 220 and rears are 320 ...
Wear is usually a function of use, alignment, and compound "softness"

BTW, John ... your question is really not model-specific, but you posted this in the C6Z section ... and your profile says you have a C5Z ...
If you in fact still have a C5Z I'll move your post to that section.

And lest we not forget, the TC and AH functions have built in assumptions about the different "stagger" in diameter between the front and rear tires. You cannot change sizes without doing a little homework, or risk a problem with the performance of these subsystems.
