Just got off of the phone with Judy Yanko who handles Museum Deliveries. She told me that the dealership that preps the Museum Delivery cars does not apply any waxes or polish - just washes the car. This is because it is recommended that no wax or protective polish be applied for the first 90 days to allow the paint and clear coat to fully cure.

So, car prep/Zaino experts out there - is there any product which could be used during this 90 days to help "show off" the car? I was giving some thought to taking this car up to Carlisle on 8/25 for the day. I am tentatively scheduled to pick up the car on 8/23.

I put Zaino on mine as soon as I got it home..and I'm sure MANY others have done the same.

I can't imagine running around with nothing on the paint.

I put Zaino on mine three weeks after the car's delivery, and the only reason I waited that long was because it took about five or six washes with Dawn to get the wax off that my dealer swore they never put on. But that'a another story.

Go with the Zaino right away, you'll be amazed

I think she may be mistaken, since the paint is baked on. But, Meguire's #7 can safely be used on newly painted surfaces.
