Hey guys and gals just bought my 1st vette a couple months back. 2003 Z06 what a great car. Does anyone know why after I changed my maf the car revs to 3000 when I have the brakes on and press the clutch. I’ve checked for vacuum leaks. I used a Delphi af10043 maf.

Is engine stock, including the aircleaner, airbridge, TB
Did you make sure the airflow arrow is facing the throttlebody ?
Was this a new MAF
Did you clean the aircleaner at same time and it is a oiled type that got too much oil onto the MAF sensor wires
Really look close that the airbridge rubber couplers did not get folded inward, esp by bottom of TB
Check airbridge real close as to a crack
Any unmetered airmass coming in after the MAF will drive the PCM nuts
Check for any DTCs via the DIC, write down what the code(s) are

If having a OBD-II scanner MAF at idle should report about 2,800 Hz, maybe 1 pound of air

Thanks for your help. It does have a k&n aircharger unit on it, also the car has an auto blip installed, was there when I got it, when I had the car serviced for a headlamp motor they disconnected the battery and it happened then as well, but then went away after a few starts.
