New Z06 delivered today!

I just got my 2001 Z06 delivered today. Torch Red/Torch Red mod. I was actually expecting the car to arrive on Thursday, so this was a pleasant surprise.

I've only taken it for fuel so far since I've been too overworked and sleep deprived lately to take it for a real spin. I know it sounds crazy not to put at least 100 miles on the first day, but the last thing that I want is a wrecked car due to my (temporary) lack of alertness. I'll have plenty of time to drive starting Thursday. /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

The best part of my buying experience, in my opinion, was the expert help that I got from Ludwig Tomasini at THE VETTE NET in locating my vehicle from a dealer lot. I was on the waiting list at my local dealership for over 6 months with no sign of an allocation. Then I decided to buy either a 2002 or a 2001 from outside California. I contacted Ludwig and told him my configuration and target price. He was able to find a 2001 in my exact configuration within a few hours! The car got delivered a week after I signed the paperwork with the dealership thanks to the quick transportation, which was also handled by Ludwig. I've been told that Ludwig gets his commission from the dealership and I think that it is well deserved!
