Just a note to say Howdy. Recently picked up a very interesting 2001 TR/Mod Red Z06 CONVERTIBLE! Having lots of fun with it so far and looking forward to learning more about these fabulous cars through the Forum.

Here's a link with pics of our new ride:

FYI, my '96 Grand Sport Coupe is for sale. Here's a link with that info:

Not giving up our Skunk roots altogether, though, as we're keeping our 96 GS convertible.

Cheers to all! :D

Welcome! Nice toys you have there!

To complete my collection I'll need:
96 GS Vert
70 LS6 Vert
66 (Anything :) )

Love those GS's :yeadog:

Welcome to the forum!! Very nice Vert conversion, who did it?? Carravagio??
Thanks. No, not Caravaggio, but a small shop in Tampa, FL. Overall, they did a really good job and I'm quite pleased with it.

Now that you have had it on the road for a while, how does it handle? Any flex? Creaks or rattles? Just curious. It looks AWESOME!!!! Gotta love that Torch Red :D :D

MSiska -- On the highway the car does not exhibit any cowl shake, creaks, or rattles at all with the top up or down. Nothing like what a C4 ragtop does. I don't doubt that in competition driving, the hardtop's added rigidity would be helpful, but this car appears to be every bit as solid as any C5 convertible, which is impressive enough.

Its fairly noisy with the top up but not overly objectionable. I think the Z06 has less noise insulation than other C5's. The one thing I still want to change is the exhaust... the B&B system is still too quiet for my taste.
